Coconut Oil – Just as with people, applying coconut oil to your dog’s skin can help to lubricate your dog’s skin and prevent flaking or other signs of irritation. Simply rub a small amount into your hands and massage into the skin, running your fingers through the fur of your pet—the coconut oil may also help your dog's coat appear sleeker and glossier. If you live in a wooded area or like to go for hikes with your dog, coconut oil can also serve as a non-chemical way to repel fleas and ticks. Coconut oil can be added to your dog’s food, just be careful not to over do it. There are many health benefits to adding this oil to your dog’s diet.
Salmon Oil – Excellent for Skin & Coat
Pumpkin – Another great additive. I like to give this 2 – 3x a week to keep the digestive tract healthy. Puppies get 1 tablespoon. Adult dogs get more. Packaging lists the correct amounts to give. This can be given in the form of organic canned pumpkin or my favorite product can be found at the hyperlink above.
Raw organic apple cider vinegar – Another excellent additive to your dog's diet. Add to your dog's food or water - 1/4 to 1/2 a teaspoon daily.
Whole-fat organic plain Greek Yogurt – My dog’s love one big dollop on top of their food once/day as well! Excellent health benefits.
